The Odighizuwa Foundation was created by Owamagbe (Owa) and Osawaru (Osa) as a lasting tribute to their mother, Abieyuwa. Her love, strength, and unwavering belief in a brighter future inspired them to pursue excellence both on and off the field. Through the Foundation, Owa and Osa hope to ensure that the Odighizuwa family name remains forever connected to her vision of hope and opportunity. Just as her guidance laid the foundation for their success, the Odighizuwa Foundation seeks to provide resources, support, and opportunities that can help transform lives for generations to come.
The Woman Who Inspired the Foundation
Abieyuwa Odighizuwa, affectionately known as AB, was a devoted single mother of four boys who led by example through unwavering strength, courage, and perseverance. Even in the face of significant challenges, she never lost sight of her vision for her sons’ future. She encouraged them to stay focused on their education, embrace the opportunities provided by sports, and strive for something greater. Through her guidance and sacrifice, each of her sons earned a college scholarship and went on to compete in either football or wrestling, bringing to life the future she always believed was possible.
